Carlos Ayala, a seasoned international business development professional, was born in Panama City, Panama and received a BS in Systems Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton Ohio in 1981. He is an Strategic Adviser to healthcare businesses, hospitals and industry leaders, with the ability to tap into an extensive network of influential contacts, mostly decision makers in the Emergency and Medical Tourism Industries, both in the United States and in Latin America. This network was developed as a result of 20+ years of experienced, mostly in sales, management and business development. Over the years, Carlos has been instrumental in developing the largest patient referral network in Mexico and Central America, increasing by 300% international critical patient transfers to high level of care hospitals in California, Texas and Florida. In the late 1980s and 90s, Carlos joined Critical Air Medicine as Director of Business Development for Latin America, during which time he positioned the organization as the largest US-based independent air medical transport company servicing Latin America. Perhaps Carlos’s most innovative marketing campaign in those years was to coordinate the transfer (by ground) of an Airborne Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to ExpoMedica, the primary international medical trade exhibition for Latin America and the Caribbean. The Learjet, which was parked and displayed at the entrance of the Atlapa Convention Center of Panama City, was the main attraction at this prestigious exhibition. ![]()

Carlos has worked in a variety of capacities in business development in various industries, including officially introducing in Latin America a public company trading on the National Market System under the symbol NASDAQ:MACE and as Managing Partner of DomainNameSearch.agency, a service of SouthFloridaTelecom.com LLC, an Internet asset holdings company specializing in the investment and monetization of new generic Top-Level Telemedicine Domains (gTLDs). ![]() In the course of his career, Carlos has worked jointly with Medical Centers of Excellence including Sharp Healthcare UCSD in San Diego, Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio and Baptist Health in Miami. ![]() Carlos has developed a network of high level executives throughout the United States and Latin America, and has collaborated with high ranking government officials such as Mexico's Secretary of Health for the State of Quintana Roo, while inaugurating a Cruise Ship Clinic in the Mexican Riviera and surveying Costa Rica by helicopter, accompanied by by government officials from the Caribbean.
