Packet8 VideoPhone

The Packet8 VideoPhone delivers high-quality, full-motion video and clear, delay-free audio over any broadband (Cable or DSL) Internet connection.

Packet 8 VoIP Phone is an affordable and easy-to-use broadband telephone and videophone service designed with both residential and business customers in mind.

Packet8 Internet phone service was introduced in 2002 by publicly traded 8x8, Inc. (Nasdaq: EGHT), a 20 year old telecommunications company with more than 68 multimedia and VoIP technology patents.

The company provides residential, business and video Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone services. Their Packet8 Virtual Office service was ranked #1 hosted VoIP phone system choice by U.S. based small and medium sized businesses (Telecom research firm AMI Partners - May 07).

They also internally developed their technologies. They are completely standards-based, but own all of the underlying software and technologies that power their services, keeping them out of target for patent infringement.

The VoIP service allows anyone with broadband (high-speed) Internet access to use their regular phone to make UNLIMITED calls to anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. Subscribers with videophones can make video calls for as little as $19.99 per month.
