What is VoIP and how does it work?
Voice over Internet Protocol (also called VoIP, IP Telephony, Internet Telephony and Digital Phone) is the routing of voice conversations over the Internet.
This new technology allows phone calls to be made by using a Broadband Internet Connection instead of using a standard phone line.
Calls are made over the Internet by converting analog audio signals to digital data. The advantage of VoIP is the ability to place local and long-distance phone calls without paying extra phone charges.
